First Cuirass with Spaulders
Early in the morning on August 24, my breastplate, backplate and spaulders were all strapped and assembled for the opening day of the Ohio Renaissance Festival. Here's some photos of the ensemble:

There are some photos of me dressed up at the renfest here (I'm in a couple pics halfway down the page): http://renfest.adkinssoftware.com/renfest3.html
Please see my Plate Armour Page for pics and journal of each piece as it progressed.
There are some definite areas that would still use some work. There are still gaps in the sides where the breast and back meet. The spaulders lay slightly uneven and there are far too many hammer marks for my tastes. However, I am pleased with my first project and am excited to move onto something else.
My next projects will be a Churburg #13 breastplate for my 2-year-old for Halloween and some spaulders trimmed in brass for my husband's maille shirt.
