I only got a couple hours of work in today. I did shorten the bottom up about 2 inches. It doesn't look like a drastic change from the previous picture, but it makes a heck of a different in the fit. I did some work around the neckline and shoulders and am thinking about cutting the neckline so that it has a more "v" appearance. I think it would look better to follow the line of the breasts and curve down a bit. The flare is not as defined as I would like, but without a creasing stake, I'm not sure how to better define it. I did do some planishing on the breasts because I wanted to see how the light hit them. After the piece is annealed and the collar cut, I will work some more on their shape. I have ordered a new raising hammer from Ironmonger and expect to see it by midweek. This hammer has a flatter and more rectangular face on it which I plan to use for a second pass on the waist.
Btw, in the back of the pics you can see "my" anvil. It's actually a loaner (indefinitely) and needs rewelded. But I'm hesitant to spend the money on it and then have the owner ask for it back.
